Sam takes a bath
Sam went to the Doctor for his 18th month appointment in December (I know, I know, its January and I’m behind…)
Sam was 32 inches long, and weighed 25 pounds. He got lots of shots, which he did not like, including his second shot of H1N1.
He impressed the doctor by taking his socks off himself. The doctor said, “What would REALLY be impressive is if he could put them on.” Sam tried to put them on, but could not make it work.
The doctor asked about how many words Sam could say. I said “about 20.” His favorite being “CAR” which he loves to yell out when he sees cars at while riding in the car, or really, whenever he sees a car. He also says “bus” “no more” and “no” choo choo” “ben” and “snacks” (pronounced by him as nacks.)
Sam got a good report. The doctor recommended introducing the potty to him – giving him a potty to sit on if he wants to. So now Sam has his own potty, which he sometimes sits on and sometimes put toys in. What’s that phrase, “babysteps?”
