So today is Family Day, a long weekend in February that just started happening in Ontario a few years back. I guess the idea is that it gives one more extended weekend in the year, where families can spend some quality time together. In my opinion Family Day is great: a day off work, more time with your family, yadda yadda yadda. But, what if your husband works in Quebec? Well, he then takes the car to work seeing as the bus system is all messed up for the day, leaving mom and son stranded at home to celebrate family! So, for now it is a Family Day of two – just me and Niko whooping it up on this family holiday. I guess we will have to wait for Daddy to come home from work before we can truly celebrate this provincial holiday – but, Family Day or not, I like to celebrate our family every day of the year!
