i just asking if there any other engineers that have the same old thing of the loud snr drum ripping your face off at FOH when its not in the mix…
The band i work for the drummer smacks that snr so hard its totally out of control..
Like at 30 feet from stage at FOH in small clubs it can be like 106dba while i’m trying to keep the band at lke 97 to 103dba.. i tell him not to hit it so hard but the other night he cam out full blast and it really sucked..
i would like to use a blast shield but he gets pissed when you even say that..
and i was up there and he started hitting that damn thing and i told the singer how in the hell can you hear yourself with that loud ass beast smacking you in the head and the cymbols will kill ya.. no wonder the stage sound it too damn loud..
i’m just asking if any other engineer have these issues..
